About Us

Morris County Farms, Inc. was founded in 1955 by Adrian Baierl, who
was later joined by his brother Norman “Chubby” Baierl.  Originally, the business was established as a roadside farm stand on Route 46 in Parsippany. In the early 1970's, the business moved to its current location in Denville. Our early inventory included a small selection of annuals,
cut-flowers, azaleas, mums, fruits, vegetables, and even eggs.

James "Jim" Moore took ownership of the business in 1989, expanding our goods to meet the wholesale needs of florists, landscapers, and interior designers as well as our loyal, well-established retail customers. In 2013, we mourned the loss of Jim, our dear friend and leader. His sons Jim and Tom took ownership of the farm, and we all continue to carry on Jim's vision of a place where we continue to meet our customers’ needs.

We are open year round with seasonal specialties taking precedence throughout the year. Our spring/summer season starts in mid-March, and our nursery yard comes to life with numerous perennials, shrubs and trees while the back greenhouses boast annuals, garden supplies as well as garden decor. Our spring/summer season culminates in August, and then we begin getting ready for the Christmas season!

During the winter months, our back greenhouses are transformed into a fully stocked Christmas Shop, where decorations, candles, ribbon, supplies, and artificial greens can be found as well as a full line of live "fresh-cut" wreaths, garlands and trees. While there are definite seasonal shifts here at Morris County Farms, a few things remain constant: our tropical greenhouses (fully stocked year-round with countless house plants and trees), the basket/supply barn (which houses all of our baskets, pot covers, floral supplies and silk flowers), and our showroom. Our showroom changes seasonally, and is always stocked with our latest additions. It's a great place to browse and brainstorm new ideas. You'll find everything from everyday ribbon and glassware to new gift items and home decor.

At Morris County Farms our constantly changing product line and knowledgeable and friendly staff keeps our customers coming back to us on a regular basis. We look forward to meeting new customers and welcoming them into our loyal customer family!

Come in and enjoy the Morris County Farms experience!
