Trees & Shrubs
Trees are the backbone of your landscape. When choosing a tree for your yard you should consider your desired height and shape. Shapes can range from espaliered, weeping, conical, lollipop, multi-stemmed, and so on. Bark, foliage and scent can also be factors that influence your decision. You may decide to plant a tree to shade your yard, reduce erosion, or to create a focal point in your garden.
Shrubs are generally woody, multi- stemmed plants, shorter than trees that are usually planted as borders or hedges. Like trees, shrubs should be chosen for their height, shape and purpose. Evergreens are perfect for privacy screens and borders, while deciduous shrubs can bring flowers, scents, and berries into your garden at different times throughout the year
